Yansamin is a Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Yansamin Shrine is a Proving Grounds: Intermediate Shrine pitting Link against powerful enemies using only the Equipment and environmental items the Shrine provides for him. Shrines are mini-dungeons, housing quick trials such as puzzles or short enemy encounters. Once a Shrine has been completed, the player obtains a Light of Blessing, an item key to obtaining more Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels, and the Shrine is unlocked as a Fast Travel point. If the Shrine has not been completed but has been activated, it will be marked in yellow on the map. It will still be available for fast travel so that can players return and complete the Shrine at a later time.

Yansamin Shrine Walkthrough Guide

Reaching Yansamin Shrine

This shrine imprisons and purifies the ancient evil.

The Yansamin Shrine is located under the Zonaite Forge Island near the Necluda Sky Archipelago, in the Necluda Sky. The best way to find the shrine is to head to a specific island in the archipelago. Note that you’ll need to already be able to equip the Zora Set to reach the shrine, which you should be able to do after completing the Main Quest Restoring the Zora Armor. Head first to a specific point in the surface, marked by a bonfire. You can find this spot at the southeastern edge of the Phalian Highlands, near the waters. When you get there, you should see an island above you with a waterfall. This waterfall actually reaches the ground sometimes, but only when it’s raining. As such, you’ll want to light the bonfire and then sit by it for a period of time. Keep doing this until the weather changes and it starts raining. Head to the waterfall which should now reach the ground. Equip the Zora Armor and then climb up the waterfall.

For an in-depth guide to the Main Quest Restoring the Zora Armor, visit our page for it here.

When you get to the top, you should see a floating platform guarded by a Soldier Construct I. Past it, you should see a tall floating structure to the southeast. Use the Rockets on the platform to get closer to the tall structure and then glide to it to enter the Zonaite Forge Island. Examine the green runes on the circular device to activate the forge, which sends some hot air blowing up out of grates at certain points. Glide on these points to ride the air to the top of the structure. Dive down the hole here, avoiding all the lasers are you fall. When you get to the bottom, you’ll find the shrine on the south side of the room.

How to Complete Yansamin Shrine

Outside equipment is forbidden beyond this point.

When you enter the shrine you will be stripped of all your Equipment. Ahead and to the right you will find the only Equipment you are allowed to use in this shrine - a Wooden Stick, a Long Stick, and an Old Wooden Shield. After you grab them and move forward, you’ll find yourself in a large chamber with platforms on varying levels, some pistons, and multiple Enemies. There’ll be tiny blue particles floating around which means gravity is lower in the chamber. As the shrine description suggests, you’ll have to prove yourself and defeat all the Enemies here in this low-gravity environment. If you hop onto the piston on your right, it should take you up so you can glide to the platform on the top-right corner of the chamber where a Captain Construct I is waiting for you. Jump back down and head to the center of the room. Turn on the Fan here for a ride up to a tall platform on your left which has some Rockets, guarded by a Soldier Construct I. If you turn around and look behind you, there should be a moving platform you can reach for a ride up to three more Soldier Construct Is amidst some barrels. Ascend up from here to reach another Soldier Construct I. Jump back down to the platform with the barrels, and then jump onto the moving platform when it reaches you, and use it to cross to another nearby platform, guarded this time by a Soldier Construct I and a Soldier Construct II. Head back to the previous platform and jump on the Hover Stones on the other side to get to another Soldier Construct II.

Your equipment will be returned to you.

Defeat all eight Enemies and you’ll be given all your gear back. A gate will unlock that and behind it will be a chest containing a Large Zonaite. Examine the structure behind the chest with green runes to obtain a Light of Blessing and unlock the Yansamin Shrine on your map for Fast Travel.
