Joniu is a Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Joniu Shrine is a special Shrine, usually containing no further puzzles, that you'll only be able to access after completing its corresponding Shrine Quest. Shrines are mini-dungeons, housing quick trials such as puzzles or short enemy encounters. Once a Shrine has been completed, the player obtains a Light of Blessing, an item key to obtaining more Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels, and the Shrine is unlocked as a Fast Travel point. If the Shrine has not been completed but has been activated, it will be marked in yellow on the map. It will still be available for fast travel so that can players return and complete the Shrine at a later time.

Joniu Walkthrough Guide
Reaching Joniu
The Joniu Shrine Is located in the northern area of the Lanayru Region, in the Ralis Channel. To get there, proceed south from the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower. As you go down the plateaus, look behind you for a cave opening that’ll take you to the Ralis Channel. Inside, you’ll see the green shrine crystal before some water and amongst some wood, a sail, and a Fan.
How to Complete Joniu
Follow the beam to its end, and offer the crystal there. Do so, and I will offer you a light that banishes evil
Examining the green crystal will start the Shrine Quest The Ralis Channel Crystal, which you’ll have to complete to allow entrance into the shrine. To get to where the green beam shooting from the crystal is pointing, make a make shift motorboat with the wood, sail, and Fan. There should also be a Steering Stick nearby to go with your creation. Head straight along the path waters to the end to reach the shrine entrance. Bring the crystal to the shrine entrance to clear the Shrine Quest and allow entry into the shrine.

Inside will be a chest containing a Large Zonai Charge. Head up the stairs and examine the green runes to obtain a Light of Blessing and unlock Joniu Shrine on your map for Fast Travel.
