Mayachin Shrine Walkthrough Guide

Reaching Mayachin Shrine

The Mayachin Shrine can be found within the Exchange Ruins in Central Hyrule. You can teleport to the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower and head north-east to find the shrine.

How to complete the Mayachin Shrine

Head down the stairs when you enter the Shrine. Wait for the spinning platform to be close to you, then hop on and use it to cross to the other side. When you cross over, there are two important devices to take note of — a pressure pad on the floor and an orange pillar. Hitting the orange pillar on the right turns it green and hitting it another time will revert it back to orange. Stepping on the pad on the left reveals a large target on the left wall. To complete this Shrine, you must hit the target with any environmental item found in the Shrine.

Down the stairs, on the platform below, are a few more items of note. The first thing you may notice is a ball continuously rolling down the center of the platform. The ball is being set off it's path by a Stake in the ground. Directly to the left of the ball's path, and next to the crystal, is a device that turns 180 degrees each time you hit the orange/green pillar you found previously on the upper platform. On the left side of the platform is another Stake and two white logs, as well as a ramp leading to the large target on the wall.

There are multiple ways to complete this shrine. The most generic way to do so is by creating a swatting device with the rotating machine to hit the ball into the target. To do so, first remove the Stake blocking the ball's path. Next, creating a swatting device by attaching the two white logs onto the dark side of the rotating machine. If you want to make it longer and therefore easier to hit the ball with, you can also attach both Stakes onto the end of the white logs. Interestingly, you can also remove the square piece of the spinning platform you used to cross to this side of the shrine and attach it to your device to turn it into a paddle if it makes it easier to hit the ball with. Just remember to put it back when you're leaving the Shrine.

With your device complete, head back up to the upper platform and make sure the pillar is orange. Hit the pillar when the ball lines up with the ramp and your device should hit the ball into the target. Alternatively, a number of other things can happen. If you've made your device long enough, you can simply touch the target with the end of the stick and it should also count as completing the Shrine. If your device breaks mid-swing and any part of it happens to hit the target, this also counts for the completion of the Shrine.

There is another, simpler way to complete the Shrine that doesn't involve the rotating machine or the ball. If you have a throwable Weapon on you, you can simply Fuse a Stake at the end of it and throw the Weapon at the target. You'll lose your Weapon, but save a lot of time.

Regardless of which method you use to hit the target, the gate on the left side of the room will unlock and open, completing the Shrine. Another target will appear on the right side of the room, but it is optional. The same principles apply to this target, but this time, you have a hanging panel blocking the target. If you look behind the panel, you'll find a third Stake. Use the Stake to Fuse the panel to the ceiling to unblock the path. If you're using the ball to hit the target, do the same as last time, but this time wait until the ball is about to roll off the platform to hit the switch.  Hitting the second target unlocks the gate to a chest on the right side of room with an Energizing Elixir.

With everything done in the Shrine, head into the room on the left side and interact with the green structure to obtain a Light of Blessing and unlock the Shrine as a Fast Travel Point.
