Mayaotaki Shrine is a Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Mayaotaki Shrine is a special Shrine that has no puzzles to solve but is more difficult than usual to get to. Shrines are mini-dungeons, housing quick trials such as puzzles or short enemy encounters. Once a Shrine has been completed, the player obtains a Light of Blessing, an item key to obtaining more Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels, and the Shrine is unlocked as a Fast Travel point. If the Shrine has not been completed but has been activated, it will be marked in yellow on the map. It will still be available for fast travel so that can players return and complete the Shrine at a later time.

Mayaotaki Shrine Walkthrough Guide

Reaching Mayaotaki Shrine

Mayaotaki Shrine is located in the easternmost area of the Hebra region, east of the North Tabantha Snowfield, in the North Lomei Labyrinth. To get there, head to the Snowfield Stable and head all the way north of the region, and then all the way east to get to the labyrinth entrance, marked by a stone tablet. Move forward to some Gloom on the floor, which you can avoid by lighting the nearby campfire, using a Hylian Pine Cone on it to great a gust you can then use to glide over the Gloom. Alternatively, you can also climb either of the walls and then glide past it. Ahead you’ll see the shrine behind a gate. The easiest way to get to it is actually to continue the path to the right and once you get up the stairs, you can climb the walls up if you have enough stamina, find a ledge somewhere in the labyrinth you can use Ascend on, or use the gust you made with the Hylian Pine Cone to get to the top of the walls. Use the narrow paths made by the labyrinth walls to get a bit southwest of the room where the shrine is, and look down to find an opening with two lamps on both of its sides. Head down there to find a ladder you can climb, and then head to the right to some stairs that’ll lead to the shrine.

If you want to traverse the labyrinth for some chests on the way to the shrine, turn right and up the stairs from the first time you see the shrine behind some bars. The Hylian Pine Cones on the ground will actually show you the way through the maze, so try not to pick all of them up so you don’t get lost. Further on you should see another bonfire and a journal. Follow the path to the right and then take the left path where the pine cone is, and then pass the Gloom on the left and continue. On the next fork, follow the pine cones to the right past the ice, until you reach another bonfire. Light it and then throw in a pine cone and then use the gust to glide past all the Gloom in front of you. To your right will be a bunch of ice holding back some boulders, melt them to let the boulders roll down, to get a chest containing a Zonaite Bow. Head back to where you turned right to climb and glide past the gloom to the north this time. Turn the corner and then turn right afterward, still following the pine cones on the ground, and keep looking for them as you go, past some Gloom you can hug the left wall to avoid, and then take another right. Follow the path until you reach some more Gloom which you’ll need to climb and glide over, to the right past another ice formation. You should see another bonfire and another journal. Past them will be some ice you could melt for a chest containing a Mighty Zonaite Shield. The journal will tell you to follow the light, so turn around and find a single lamp at the end of a long hallway and head to it. Turn left and then follow the pine cones again to some more Gloom to climb and glide over. You should see another ice formation here, which you can skirt past through a narrow space on its left, or you can just melt it. Keep following the path with the pinecones to a ladder in between two lamps. Climb it and then head to the right to some stairs that’ll lead to the shrine. Melt the ice to allow yourself entry.
