Soryotanog Shrine Walkthrough Guide

Reaching Soryotanog Shrine

Soryotanog Shrine is located at the top of Gerudo Town. Players can make their way here by following the natural path to the Gerudo Desert through the Gerudo Canyon Pass, and past the Kara Kara Bazaar until they reach Gerudo Town. It might first be difficult to navigate to this area with the Sand Shroud. Use the wind gusts so that Link is lifted above the Sand Shroud. This will also allow you to fix your direction since the Shrine will be visible at this height. If you're lost in the desert, look out for these gusts of wind to find your way.

Once you reach Gerudo Town, climb the walls to reach the shrine, which will be located above Riju's room toward the southwest part of town.

How to Complete Soryotanog Shrine

Enter the shrine to find a few mounds of sand and a Fan Device half buried into the mound on the right in front of the locked door. Use Ultrahand to yank it out of the side then activate it by striking it with your weapon. Pick it up with Ultrahand again and rotate it to face the different sand mounds to blow away the sand. This will uncover a chest in the mound closest to the back wall. This will contain the Small Key -- A key to a door inside a Shrine of Light. You can now take the key to unlock the door and proceed to the next area. Take the fan with you when you proceed.

Area 2

Through the doors, directly through the left will be a Soldier Construct I. Clear the construct and take the Zonai Charge.

  • Chest: To the right is another sand mound. Clear it with your fan to reveal another room with two more sand mounds. Clear the first one and you will uncover another Soldier Construct I, take its horn and Zonai Charge. There will also be another half-buried fan. For easier access, you can also attach the fan to one of your Weapons. Activate the fan and place it on the ground facing up. Link can now hop on top and immediately activate your glider to glide upwards to the higher platform. There will be a gear half buried in the sand. Use the fan to clear away the sand and the gear will begin to move. This will unlock the gate and give you access to the chest behind. Open it to obtain Arrow x10. After opening the chest you are done with the area and can leave the room.

In this main area, there will be a Mirror buried in the sand. Pull it out. You will need it later. While facing the final locked chamber, there is a corner to the left where there is higher platform above. You can stand underneath this area and use Ascend. This will give you access to the walled room. Clear the Soldier Construct I on the platform and later take the drops. You are provided with another fan and there will be more sand here. Clear away the sand to reveal another Mirror and unveil a light source.

Take the stairs up and bring the Mirror with you. Place the Mirror on top of the light source and angle it so that it reflects into the main room. Return to the area you came from. You can use Ascend to bring you back to the elevated area and return to the main room.

With the light now shining into this room, you can take the first mirror and now bring it into the reflected beam of light. Notice the sensor located above the gate to the final chamber. Rotate and adjust the Mirror so that the light is reflected toward that particular spot. If successful, it will turn yellow. The yellow will fill the senor and will eventually turn green. The gate will open and you can reach the end of the shrine.
