Kikakin is a Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Kikakin Shrine is a Shining in Darkness Shrine testing the player's skills in navigating areas in less-than-ideal circumstances, using Link's abilities and whatever Equipment is available. Shrines are mini-dungeons, housing quick trials such as puzzles or short enemy encounters. Once a Shrine has been completed, the player obtains a Light of Blessing, an item key to obtaining more Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels, and the Shrine is unlocked as a Fast Travel point. If the Shrine has not been completed but has been activated, it will be marked in yellow on the map. It will still be available for fast travel so that can players return and complete the Shrine at a later time.

Kikakin Shrine Walkthrough Guide

Reaching Kikakin Shrine

The Kikakin Shrine is located in the westernmost area of the Eldin Region, along the Mount Drena mountain ranges, directly northeast of the Great Hyrule Forest. The easiest way to get there is to go to the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower, launch up, and then glide southwest toward Mount Drena. You should eventually see the shrine on top of one of the smaller mountains.

How to Complete Kikakin Shrine

Inside and down the stairs you’ll find yourself in a completely dark chamber, with only a nearby Light revealing the way. To your right is a green door with a slot for a key. As the shrine description suggests, the objective here is to find the key to get to the end of the shrine with very limited light in the pitch-black darkness. You can carry the Light around manually with Link, Ultrahand, or Fuse it to one of your Shields. Alternatively, just use Everbloom Seeds throughout the shrine for better visibility. Head on the path on your left. Turn right past some spikes to reach a wall on the left with another movable block in the middle. Move it with Ultrahand and set it on the floor right under the hole you created. Use it to climb up and reach the chest inside containing an Amber. Head back and turn right to move forward. Ignore all the right turns first this time and keep turning left. Eventually, you’ll have to go through some lasers. On the left wall will be a small cavity with a chest containing an Opal. The rest of the way just leads to a wall of spikes so turn around and head back. Head straight past the lasers first and then turn right past some spikes closing in from both sides. Look above you here for a square hole in the ceiling, and use Ascend on the parts around it to get to a hidden room with another Light, and a chest containing a Zonaite Bow. Head back down and further onto the narrow path on the left where another set of spikes will slowly close in from the right wall. Past it will be a dead end, but you can use Ultrahand on the middle block here to lift it and reveal a chest containing the Small Key. Head back past the lone set of spikes but head to the immediate left first. Take the next left again to a room where there will be a chest past some spikes coming from both sides containing a Luminous Stone. Head back out of the room and turn left to pass by the wall with the movable block, and then turn left to finally make your way back to the green wall.

Open it with the Small Key and then examine the green runes inside to obtain a Light of Blessing and unlock the Kikakin Shrine on your map for Fast Travel.
