Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Restoring the Zora Armor Quest Walkthrough

Starting Location: Restoring the Zora Armor

This quest is different from other main quests as it won't start automatically and isn't marked on the map. It commences in Lanayru ( east region ) then Zora's Domain, which you visit as part of the Regional Phenomena Main Quest. The quest becomes available later, probably after completing the Main Quest: The Broken Slate. Yona, a green-colored character, can be found upstairs in Zora's Domain, just beneath the throne room. Her task is to repair your Zora Armor, and she offers to do so if you can bring her an Ancient Arowana fish. This is the only objective of this quest.

Locate The Ancient Arowana

Ancient Arowana can be found in various places. They are fish found in clean water. Jump into the water and press the A button to catch one of these.

Ancient Arowana Location Number 1

Can be found in the fountain on Shatterback Point, east of Zora’s Domain. It’s a fountain upstairs from Mipha Court on Ploymus Mountain. You go there during Main Quest: Sidon of the Zora to talk to Sidon. If you’ve already activated the Ihen-a Shrine there, you can use fast travel. Jump into the fountain and pick up a fish. If you haven’t been there before, you have to take the long way around. We’ll go through the key points. Exit Zora’s Domain through the bridge going east. Keep heading east until you reach a wall with stairs in it. Go up those stairs.

At the top of the stairs, keep walking east alongside the mountain wall. Go underneath Shatterback Point towards Tal Tal Peak. There the mountain walls aren’t so steep and can be climbed more easily. From Tal Tal Peak, head northwest uphill to Mipha Court. You can mostly walk uphill, just the last section needs to be climbed. Afterward, proceed to the upper level where the fountain is located, and catch the fish swimming in the water around it.

Ancient Arowana Location Number 2

The Ancient Arowana fish can also be found swimming at the bottom of the waterfall located in the southwest of Great Sky Island. It is possible that you may have already caught some in the game before and still have them in your inventory.

Go Back to Yona

To complete the Restoring the Zora Armor Main Quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you need to catch an Ancient Arowana and bring it to Yona, the quest giver, who is located where the quest began. Yona will exchange the fish for the Zora Armor, which enables you to swim up waterfalls and make traveling through the region simpler. This will mark the completion of the quest. Check the correlated main quests Sidon of the Zora, The Broken Slate, and Clues to the Sky to proceed.
