Mayak Shrine Walkthrough Guide
Reaching Mayak Shrine
The Mayak Shrine is located in the East Deplian Badlands, in the northwest area of the Eldin Region. It’s just out in the open but it can be difficult to get to if you don’t have a lot of stamina. The easiest way to get there would be to head to the Thyplo Ruins Skyview Tower, launch up, and glide to the northeast. If you need a break to catch your stamina, take a break at any of the high points of the mountain ranges so you can just glide down past them to the shrine entrance.
How to Complete Mayak Shrine
Inside and down the stairs, you’ll find yourself in a large open chamber. Ahead will be a switch pillar that moves a platform that has a large elevated tile on it. To your left will be a block that powerfully pushes upward at certain intervals. As the shrine description suggests, you’ll have to time certain actions correctly in order to move forward. To do so, stand on top of the block and jump right as it pushes you up to get to a higher area. There is a large sphere here which you’re meant to put on the large railing. If you look at its path, it’ll drop into the gap unless you quickly jump back down and hit the switch pillar, which will move the platform to catch it. When you’re ready, place the sphere on the railing and then head down and hit the switch at the right time. The sphere will press on the elevated tile on the moving platform which will open the gate forward. Use the block on your left for a boost upward and glide across the gap to the opened gate.
In the next large room, there’ll be another switch pillar that serves the same purpose as before, as well as another block that’ll push you upwards to your right. Before you get started, look high above you to the left to find a chest dangling on a rope. Hit the rope with an Arrow to let the chest fall on some water. Grab it with Ultrahand for a Large Zonai Charge. Get on the block that’ll push you up for a boost. You’ll land on a small platform that has another such block, which you’ll need to use to get even higher up. On the highest floor, you’ll be able to find the sphere. When you’re ready, put the sphere on the railing and then quickly jump and dive down to where the switch it. Make sure to use an attack or your Paraglider when you’re near the floor to prevent any fall damage. Hit the switch at the right time to catch the sphere with the moving platform.
Head out the gate that will open and examine the green runes to obtain a Light of Blessing and unlock the Mayak Shrine on your map for Fast Travel.
