Ukouh Shrine is a Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Ukouh Shrine involves The Ability to Create. Shrines are mini-dungeons, housing quick trials such as puzzles or short enemy encounters. Once a Shrine has been completed, the player obtains a Light of Blessing, an item key to obtaining more Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels, and the Shrine is unlocked as a Fast Travel point. This is the first Shrine that players are led to following the beginning of The Closed Door Main Quests when players first attempt to enter the Temple of Time. This Shrine is required in order complete The Closed Door. It is also where players will learn their first main ability, the Ultrahand.

Ukouh Shrine Walkthrough Guide

Getting to the Ukouh Shrine

Players reach this Shrine after the first interaction at the Temple of Time. This Shrine is located just next to the Temple to the west. Players just need to make your way down to the lower ground platform and then walk towards the Shrine using the staircase that wraps around it or by climbing the surrounding walls. Examine the symbol in front to gain access to the shrine then enter it.

Ukouh Shrine Guide

This Shrine begins with Rauru introducing your first ability, Ultrahand. This allows Link to move and mend objects together. To use your ability, press L to activate. This will also be how you access the rest of your abilities. When you are ready, head further in until you reach a gap. There will be a platform or plank for you to the right. You just need to move it in place. Activate your Ultrahand ability and press A on the platform to grab it. Since it is flat, you do not need to rotate it. Take it over the gap and Cancel the ability to drop it.

This will take you to the next area where you will have an even wider gap ahead. This is where you will learn about the uses and how to activate the Attach feature of the Ultrahand. This time, they give you two platforms to work with. Use the space to align them and extend the platform in order to create a longer bridge. You can either attack them neatly side by side vertically or hastily attach one on top of the other as long as the platform is long enough to reach the upper level. Once you have attached both platforms, grab your newly attached platforms over the gap then use it as a bridge. Grabbing either piece will move both platforms as a whole now that they're attached.

Before you further move on, take the attached double platform with you to create a ramp to the chest at the top right corner. This is elevated on a higher platform and might be easily missed. Angle your platform to the top and loot the chest to gain Amber. Now you can move on. You will have a final gap to cross. This time you have a variety of grabbable objects on the wall to your left and a rail directly in front that leads to the end of the Shrine. If you look up, you can catch a hint of what kind of object you are meant to build. Once in a while a platform on the rail will glide by. You can make the same object by taking the wooden plank down flat in front of you. Then, grab the loose hook and keep it upright. Take it over the wooden plank and attach it. Take your new fused object and hook it over the rail. Once you let go, get ready to hop on the wooden platform. It will begin to move forward and will lead you to the other side. Ascend the stairs and approach the symbol so you can examine it. This will also grant you your first Light of Blessing. Your hearts will be fully restored and you will exit the Shrines
