Joku-u Shrine is a Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Joku-u Shrine is a special Shrine that has no puzzles to solve but is more difficult than usual to get to. Shrines are mini-dungeons, housing quick trials such as puzzles or short enemy encounters. Once a Shrine has been completed, the player obtains a Light of Blessing, an item key to obtaining more Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels, and the Shrine is unlocked as a Fast Travel point. If the Shrine has not been completed but has been activated, it will be marked in yellow on the map. It will still be available for fast travel so that can players return and complete the Shrine at a later time.

Joku-u Shrine Walkthrough Guide

Reaching Joku-u Shrine

Joku-u Shrine is located in the central area of Dragonhead Island in the Faron Sky. The best way to complete this shrine is through the Main Quest Find the Fifth Sage, which will inevitably take you to this sky island. The path of the Main Quest will take you through a variety of Enemies and have you acquire the Charged Set to ultimately use a mechanism from below to weaken the thunderstorm from above. This way will also be safer for this reason, as the sky islands you seek are in that thunderstorm cloud. The Main Quest will then have you go to the Thunderhead Isles by gliding south toward the storm cloud after launching from the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. After that, it’ll just be a matter of gliding and using your Ascend ability to go southeast until you reach the neighboring Dragonhead Island from there. You’ll find the shrine right before getting to the Main Quest’s objectives and heading on to the Construct Factory.

All that being said, there is a simple way to get to the shrine without having to do anything else, which starts by heading first to the southern lakes of the Necluda region. You can get there by gliding southwest after launching up from Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower. Debris falls from the sky here around the areas surrounding Corta Lake. Simply hop on one of them and then use Recall on it for a free ride up to the sky islands where they came from. When you get to the top, glide slightly southwest toward a stormcloud housing Dragonhead Island. You’ll know it’s the right one as it’s marked by a dome-like structure without a lid, which, if you chose to somehow find a much higher starting point for gliding, will look like an eye from above. The shrine sits right at the center of the structure.
