You arrive in Zora's Domain to find the people struggling with the sludge falling from the sky. You see the statue in the center of the domain resembles a similarity to that of Zora, and it is dripping sludge.

You rinsed away the sludge in the center of the domain, revealing a statue that depicts you and the venerated Zora prince, Sidon. This statue is a new symbol of hope for the Zora people, and they are overjoyed now that it is properly restored.

Zelda TotK The Sludge-Covered Statue Quest Walkthrough

This quest begins automatically during Main Quest: Regional Phenomena. Following the quest marker that leads you to the Eastern area of the Lanayru region, you will meet the villagers in Zora's Domain where you have to clean a sludge-covered statue.

 

How to Remove the Sludge from The Statue Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

After speaking to the villagers, they will give you this quest. You will the sludge-covered statue behind them. Pull up your inventory and select Splash Fruit and then drop it in front of the statue. Now, attack the splash fruit and it will release water that will remove the sludge from the statue. Note that you have to drop it really close to the statue so that will work. If you drop it far away, the water will not reach the statue.

Going back to the same quest givers, interact with the mand they will give you Main Quest: Sidon of the Zora. This marks the end of the Main Quest: The Sludge-Covered Statue in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

 

Where to get Splash Fruit?

If you don't have a Splash Fruit, make sure to visit Upland Zorana Skyview Tower. The fruit grows all over the region on small trees. Then you can come back to this area.
