The Mired in Muck side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a relatively straightforward quest that requires players to rescue Bazz, who is stuck in the mud near the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower. To start the quest, head to the Skyview Tower and speak to Bazz to learn about his predicament. Bazz will explain that he's stuck in the mud and needs your help to get free.
Luckily, there's a solution to Bazz's problem that's relatively easy to implement. Next to Bazz, you'll notice some small trees with Splash Fruit growing on them. Collect some of the fruit and add it to your inventory. Then, select the Splash Fruit from your inventory and use a melee attack to make it explode. When the fruit explodes, it releases water that will wash away the mud and free Bazz.
After Bazz is freed, speak to him again to receive a Zora Spear as a reward for your efforts. This will mark the completion of the Mired in Muck side quest, which is one of many optional quests that players can undertake in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
