A long rod with a bit of magic. it's said to have been wielded by an ancient magician who awoke the latent power of gems.

Magic Staff is a Spear Weapon in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Weapons in Zelda TotK feature a diverse set of weapons, each having its own stats, strengths, and weaknesses. Players must remember that weapons will eventually break once their health starts to chip when it is used, however, luckily, weapons can be easily found by looting chests, destroying grass, stealing it from enemies, and crafting or infusing different weapons or materials.

    • Ah, my favourite of the Wand weapons - and the only one with the right proportions for a Magicians favoured weapon to boot (Looking at you, Scepter).

While the Rods charge attack scatters shots in all directions, and the Scepter spits out shots as you spin and rapidly runs out of power, the Staffs charge attack unleashes a stream of shots directly forward - making it the most applicable charge attack to most situations where you actually want to hit something with the shots from said attack. The Staff is also the most durable, albiet the weakest in power - though that isnt saying much, given the difference is only 2 or 3, and is most applicable when hitting things directly (i.e. the exact opposite of what you want to do with a Magic weapon).

Recommendations - bring at least one, preferably two with Opals attached for the Zora main quest (any Magic weapon with an Opal will do, and you WILL thank me later). Bring any of them, preferably Ruby, Sapphire or Topaz to the Gerudo one. Keep an Opal one in your back pocket for the Depths refight of the Zora dungeon boss. Otherwise, ice is literally the best to bring - infinite stunlocking of anything that isnt a miniboss or a Lynel is powerful stuff.
