Stal is an Enemy Type in Zelda: Tears of the KingdomEnemies in the game tend to fall under certain enemy categories but may have different variants of the same species. Enemies from the species will generally have the same outlook but may vary in color, strength, and Locations. Despite their different colorway, they are still likely to drop a few common Materials. Smaller and more common enemies are also commonly encountered in groups.

Stal creatures are the fragile remains of existing Enemies that can be encountered in the game such as Bokoblins, Moblins and Lizalfos. They tend to emerge from the ground at night but are easily broken apart upon contact. When this occurs, their head detaches. The rest of the body will then form itself and then will be revived once it attaches to its head. In order to clear these, players must get rid of the Stal head once they are detached. Clearing them will usually give you arm parts or their related enemy monster parts.

The remains of Bokoblins appear in the dark of the night. While they're fragile enough to crumble from a single blow, as long as a skull remains intact, they'll continue to pull themselves back together and go on fighting. Sometimes the body will pick up the wrong skull, but this doesn't seem to be a problem... - Stalkoblin
