Lizalfos is an Enemy Type in Zelda: Tears of the KingdomEnemies in the game tend to fall under certain enemy categories but may have different variants of the same species. Enemies from the species will generally have the same outlook but may vary in color, strength, and Locations. Despite their different colorway, they are still likely to drop a few common Materials. Smaller and more common enemies are also commonly encountered in groups.

Lizalfos are known for their ability to blend or adapt to their environment. They sometimes use their camouflaging abilities to launch ambushes. This makes them hard to spot when they lay idle until they are disturbed and begin to engage in combat. This produces many elemental variants of the Lizalfos which can each has their own unique elemental abilities and can also be seen wielding weapons such as Lizal Spears. Depending on their variant, players can opt to use the opposite element against the Lizalfos to optimize damage and effectiveness such as using Ice Weapons or Arrows on Fire-Breath Lizalfos

These quick-witted, lizard-like monsters can be found all over Hyrule. They're a sly species that lurks underwater or uses camouflage to blend in with the environment to launch ambushes. Moreover, they never sleep. They're meat eaters by nature but will enjoy the occasional insect or two.
