A metal stick filled with madness and symbolic of doom. Its forceful strike can smash an object to pieces. Its gloom will gradually wear down the body of its wielder.

Gloom Club is a Two-Handed Weapon in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Weapons in Zelda TotK feature a diverse set of weapons, each having its own stats, strengths, and weaknesses. Players must remember that weapons will eventually break once their health starts to chip when it is used, however, luckily, weapons can be easily found by looting chests, destroying grass, stealing it from enemies, and crafting or infusing different weapons or materials.

When it comes to raw base attack, little matches or surpasses the Gloom weapons, and they are usually easier to find than those other weapons. The Gloom Club is the beefiest of them all, sporting a whopping 50 base attack as your reward for bringing down certain Gloom Hand bosses.

This raw power, however, comes with drawbacks. First is its unique effect, 'Gloom Toll'. Every few swings that take durability (i.e. that hit something, be it enemy or object), the weapon inflicts one heart of Gloom damage on the user. This makes it much less useful in the early game when every heart counts (and suffering Gloom damage counts as being below maximum hearts for the purpose of the mercy 'you do not die to a one shot if you are at full health' mechanic), and in the Depths where Gloom damage persists unless healed off with a Lightroots aura or Sundelion food.

Later on, however, with better armour and health you can easily ignore the self damage, and Gloom damage instantly regenerates outside of combat when not in the Depths, so that's less of an issue. Plus, you can bypass the entire problem by simply using it as a Fusion attachment! +50 Fuse Power is only beaten by White and Silver Lynel parts and the Ancient Blade, making it an incredible option to give your weapon some real punch!

The bigger, second drawback is its durability. This thing will not last as long as other weapons - for example, when attached to a Gerudo spear while both are fresh, the Club will break first a few hits before the badly damaged threshold. It is a problem, but a small price to pay for this much power, and once you know how to handle the enemy that drops them they aren't too hard to farm. Just bring bombs and a multi-shot bow and get yourself some very big sticks.
