Paya is an NPC in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Paya has appeared in the previous game Zelda: Breath of the Wild. She is currently the chief of the Sheikah Tribe and takes her duties seriously. NPCs are non-playable characters that give life to the world of Hyrule. Some NPCs play an important role in the game's story and often provide the player vital information and resources that will help in gameplay.
The chief of the Sheikah tribe. She takes the duties she inherited from her grandmother Impa seriously, and she draws strength in her own way from being a gentle soul at heart.
She has considerable affection for Link, in part because of her grandmother's many tales about the hero who defeated the Calamity.
