Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Royal Guard's Bow Notes & Trivia

  • Similar to the other pieces of the Royal Guard set (One-handed, Spear and Two-handed) This bow boasts an increased damage output in exchange for a tremendous decrease in durability

  • However, is is important to note just How much stronger the Royal Guard's Bow is compared to its alternatives. For starters this bow is the only one currently in the game to boast a 5x shot, 2 more than the next best bow (Savage Lynel Bow). If all 5 shots connect, this bow will deal 250 base damage. Fusing with multi-shot bows imparts the benefits to each arrow, meaning combined with the highest damage increasing fuse (the Ancient Blade, which adds +50 to each) this bow is capable of dealing the most damage in a single attack in the game, a whopping 500 damage, althought this will only be seen on bosses due to the Ancient blade's instakill properties.

  • The closest any other bow can get to matching this is, again, the Savage Lynel Bow. Dealing 90 damage if each arrow hits, with a max damage when fused of 240, not even matching the base damage of the Royal Guard's Bow

  • Hypothetically, if you headshot a watchtower bokoblin, which takes 10x more damage to headshots compared to the standard 2x, with a damage up modifier Royal Guard's Bow, fused with gibdo bones, you will deal around 5000 damage.
